One card multiplied by 8

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

Guess what. I can make a card without using a sketch. LOL. A simple design but one that came out of my head on my own. This card is for The Pink Elephant's challenge this week which was to use punches, embossing, and stamping.

I decided to take part in a swap that some ladies are doing in my church. As I needed 8, I decided to keep it relatively simple. The theme is "thinking of you". I've been seeing a lot of kraft cardstock being used for cards lately and decided to join in on all the fun. Stamp sets are Elegant Floral and Say it in Style, both from CTMH. The cranberry piece of cardstock was run through my cuttlebug. That little machine has been getting a workout lately. LOVE IT. Some matching green ribbon finished off the card. All in all, I have to say that I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out and I see myself reaching for some more kraft cardstock soon.

I hope you're all doing well. Reynna's been sick the last 3 days with a fever that won't go away. If she's still got it by the end of today, I'm going to take her to the doctor.

Nice card! Thanks for sharing...

I sure hope your little one feels better soon. Those fevers can be worrisome. Keeping my fingers crossed that she'll be back to 100% soon!

A beautiful card - I love the colours you have used and the ribbon around the cuttlebugging is very effective.

Alanna, this is beautiful! I love YOUR sketch and that flower is gorgeous! The other ladies will love this! The swap sounds like a great idea! I like the look of kraft cs too, I actually rec'd about 5 card bases from SU a while back and I look at them and don't want to ruin them by using them...so there they sit for me to look at and enjoy! LOL I need to allow them to fulfill their destiny and use them!
Sorry to hear Reynna's not better! Sending prayers your way, take care!
Blessings, Maria
