2 challenges and 2 cards

Saturday, January 3, 2009

I used Taylor's cupcake challenge sketch for both these cards. For the tree card, I embossed the trees with my cuttlebug and added sparkles to some of the areas. I'm not sure if I like how the sparkles look but the card desperately needed some bling. The sentiment in the bottom right corner didn't photograph well and says "O Christmas Tree". Some cute sheer ribbon, source unknown, finished off the card. The other card is 4 x 4 with all products from CTMH. Since I figured I was still wearing glitter when I made these cards, I added some to the center stars.

I'm so happy as I have 3 Christmas cards done for Christmas 2009. I guess 4 if you count the one I made for this previous Christmas but never sent out. I'm so grateful for Sparkle's challenge because I don't know that this is something I would have done otherwise. Click here if you want to learn more about Sparkle's challenge and see her awesome blog.

I'm looking forward to a lazy Sunday after church today. I'll probably watch some of the playoffs and maybe take a little nap. Maybe I'll make it downstairs again and come up with some more creations. Thanks for stopping by.
