An update on Christopher's career choices

Sunday, October 5, 2008

So earlier in the week, I posted about a conversation I had where Christopher said that he wanted to be a policeman, a fireman, and a construction worker. He and I talked again the other day on the way to school picking up where we left off.

Me: Why do you want to be a policeman?
Christopher: So that I can cop people.
Me: What does that mean?
Christopher: When people are naughty, I can put them in jail.
Me: Oh. Why do you want to be a fireman?
Christopher: So I can help people and spread out fires.
Me: Why do you want to be a construction worker?
Christopher: So that I can build things.
Me: You are going to be very busy with 3 jobs.
Christopher: I will work one each day and then switch.

So that is how are conversation went. I loved the line about him being able to cop people. I definitley wanted to get this written down for when my crazy memory failed me.
